Three questions to try together

1. Which number is seventeen: 17, 14 or 19? The answer is 17: one group of ten and seven more.
2. What is double 2? The answer is 4. Make two groups of two objects, then count them: 2 + 2 = 4.
3. Which is greater: 18 or 13? The answer is 18. Both have one ten; compare the remaining units, 8 and 3.
